Demolition of the former interior mall structure has begun.

Demolition of the former mall structure is set to begin as part of the long-term plan to prepare the property for the future redevelopment. This work marks an important step toward reimagining the site in a way that reflects the character of East Memphis and creates new opportunities for the community.

The demolition activity will be limited to the former mall and associated structures. Dillard’s, Pinnacle Bank, and the office building will remain open and operating during this process. These locations continue to serve customers and visitors independently of the former mall building.

The ownership group, together with Poag Development Group and JLL, is continuing to shape a thoughtful, community-focused vision for the site. Planning and design work is ongoing, and additional updates will be shared as plans progress.

During demolition, the site will be secured and all work will follow applicable safety requirements. Access to Dillard’s, Pinnacle Bank, and the office building will remain open, with signage provided to guide visitors as needed.
